Stearne Room

With its large sash window, ornate fireplace and period features, the Stearne Room is a beautiful setting for smaller gatherings.

Of note in this room is an unusual, intricately carved wooden chair, known as the President’s Chair. It was given to the College by William Beatty in 1866, at the end of his term as President. To the left of the window is an engraving of King William and Queen Mary who granted the College its 1692 Charter.
